Noshaq Peak Expedition

Noshaq Peak Expedition

Overview

Noshaq Peak, at 7,492 meters, is the highest in the Hindu Kush range and lies on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. It was first summited in 1960 by a Japanese expedition led by Professor Toshiaki Sakai. The peak is renowned for its historical ascents, including the first Polish ascent by the legendary Wanda Rutkiewicz in 1972 and the world's first winter climb above 7,000m by a Polish team in 1973.

Noshaq is considered a non-technical peak with a continuous ridge climb, offering a rewarding challenge for mountaineers with its stunning views and rich mountaineering history.
